Taaffeite $20,000/grams

The taaffeite gemstone was found in 1945 by jeweller Edward Taaffee. Taaffeite is the only known gemstone that mainly consists of berillium and magnesium. The only currently known usage for it is as a gemstone. Said to be a million times rarer than diamonds. Can be found around Sri Lanka’s flood basins. The reason for it’s price is that nobody ever found any except the Dublin jeweller and officially it is one of the rarest gems.
